To ensure the flow of production is maximised by stocking workstations and optimising efficiency between the various work processes in the manufacture of Pulleys. You will be involved in various types of production work across the different production phases under supervision e.g. shot blasting, lagging, grooving, painting, lathe, CNC work and despatch. You will ensure all work is carried out professionally, in accordance with Health and Safety regulations and in a timely manner.
Duties
Check and organise materials for next day and next week's production.
Ensure cut materials are stored correctly, easily accessed and transported safely.
Transport cut pipe and shaft to the designated workstations.
Handle, transport and store component parts as per training and instruction.
Assist the Production Supervisors with the movement of manufactured parts.
Maintain high housekeeping standards within pulley production areas.
Use work equipment correctly & safely, as per Standard Operating Procedures and completing daily equipment checks, reporting any faults to the Production Supervisor.
Be willing to upskill in various work processes as required to assist Operatives to meet production timescales.
Work in accordance with relevant risk assessments and safe systems of work, as per Health & Safety training and instruction to ensure safety and wellbeing of self, work colleagues, visitors and customers.
Ensure all necessary records i.e. production, quality and health & safety are maintained correctly and submitted as required.
Follow instructions provided by the Production Supervisors and provide continual feedback to them on matters such as work schedule, safety hazards, quality standards, material shortages etc.
Assist the Production Supervisors with implementing continuous improvements and lead by example in motivating the teams to reach company targets.
Comply with company policies and procedures, taking responsibility for your actions and decisions.
Any other duties, within reason and capability, as agreed with the Pulley Production Manager/Senior Managers.
