Scantec are currently recruiting for a Maintenance Engineer on behalf of a growing FMCG Food Manufacturer in North Manchester. In terms of skill-set, the client is open on either strong Elec or Mech bias considered, Ideally Multi Skilled.

This is working a 4on, 4off pattern. 7-7, 2x days, 2x nights.

Maintenance Engineer - Brief summary of responsibilities:

• Continuous development of knowledge and familiarity with the engineering requirements of the site process systems and machinery
• Work as an active part of a skilled cross functional planned maintenance team
• Ensure correct Health & Safety, Food Safety and Hygiene standards are adhered to at all times
• Ensure a fast and effective response especially under breakdown conditions
• Quickly diagnose faults and take corrective action
• Assist an support mechanical engineers with their duties
• Actively participate in a Continuous Improvement culture throughout the site, constantly identifying opportunities to improve efficiency\'s and reduce waste
• Assist in the training of fellow maintenance engineers, Operator-Technicians and others where necessary
• Ensure planned maintenance work is completed to strict schedules, and constantly look for improvements that will ensure reliability of equipment is improved
• Ensure good working practices are adhered to throughout
• Work on various projects including installation and modifications to plant and equipment.

Ideally you\'ll be an experienced Multi Skilled Engineer with the appropriate engineering quals. Experience within a fast paced FMCG Manufacturing environment is essential. 17th / 18th edition is an advantage as full development and training can be provided.
