A leading FMCG Manufacturer is currently recruiting for a Multi skilled engineer to join their team. A mechanically biased engineer would be desirable but this is also open to electrically biased engineers.

This role will work 12 hour days (4,5,5,4) and possibly be required to cover some night shift engineers on an ad hoc basis which includes a healthy premium.

Multi Skilled Engineer responsibilities include:

Responsibility for the overall maintenance of all the site Assets including both reactive and planned maintenance tasks, fault finding, plant optimisation whilst supporting the Engineering Manager creating capital plans and budget.
Maximise efficiency, service and consistency whilst ensuring that health and safety and quality standards are never compromised.
Carry out planned preventative maintenance utilising agreed schedule.
All planned and reactive maintenance is to be entered into the CMMS.
Order and maintain a stock of spares, along with sourcing parts and other spares in a cost effective manner
Ensure that the achievement of food safety is always a priority
Quick resolution to plant breakdowns, faults, QA issues.
In association with the Engineering co-ordinator and planning, Complete the preventative maintenance schedule on time and within costs.
Minimise Plant downtime due to mechanical and electrical failure
Monitor plant condition on a regular basis to prevent unnecessary equipment failures
Support the Plant internal hygiene audit ensuring contribution to score increases audit on audit
Work in conjunction with the Engineering Manager to contribute to projects whilst identifying productivity and equipment energy and efficiency improvements.
Ensure site facilities and utilities are kept both Electrically and Mechanically safe.
Drive Engineering workshop housekeeping to a very high standard
Control of Contractors, Permits To Work etc.
Compliance with BRC and Organic Certification standard follow and comply with food safety and quality culture

You will be a Multi skilled engineer used to working within an FMCG Manufacturing environment. A mechanical bias would be advantageous but not essential.
