About the role:
An opportunity has arisen for a Motorbike Courier to join the Courier team at our Central London location. Although the role is based in our main laboratory at 1 Mabledon Place, the successful applicant will be expected to travel to various locations within the UK.
The role involves collecting samples from clients and their safe and efficient delivery to the company premises, as well as the delivery of reports, supplies and other goods to clients. The position will also involve carrying out duties in line with the 'Courier Procedures Manual' and to ensure that communication procedures are operational during duties.
The successful candidate will have experience of working within the courier or healthcare field and at least 5 years driving experience. You will also be required to have excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to work on your own initiative and as part of a team. Please be aware that this role will involve dealing with Blood Transfusion and Major Haemorrhage situations.
Please note, driving will take up a large part of your working day.
Must own 500cc plus motorbike
Have full clean driving licence
Must have own Courier Insurance
47.5 hours per week, 9.5 hour shift plus 30 Minute lunch
