Job Title: Motor Vehicle Technician

Location: Elgin, IV30 1XZ

Salary: Up to 17.60 per Hour / Up to \xc2\xa336,608 + \xc2\xa32,000 welcome bonus + \xc2\xa36,000 annual bonus + benefits

Full Time and Permanent

Monday to Friday \xe2\x80\x93 40 hours a week + 1 in 3 or 1 in 4 Saturday mornings

Welcome Bonus is \xc2\xa3500 in your 1st month, \xc2\xa3500 after 3 months, and \xc2\xa31,000 after 12 months.

Our client is a family-run new and used car dealer group in Scotland. They operate 37 car dealerships in Scotland and employ over 1300 staff.

They are now actively looking to recruit a Vehicle Technician / Mechanic for their dealership in Elgin.

The Role as Mechanic / Vehicle Technician:

• Carrying out servicing, repairs, and maintenance to a consistently high standard, in line with Manufacturer standards and safe & legal requirements.
• Detect and diagnose any additional faults for repair by means of a Vehicle Health Check within appropriate timelines.
• Carry out Used/New car preparation.
• Road test all vehicles to ensure the quality of work.
• Ensure job cards are completed accurately in line with company and manufacturer requirements.
• Maintain and check equipment and tools regularly to ensure they meet required standards.

Skills & experience we know will help Mechanic succeed in this role:

• Fully qualified Vehicle Technician/Mechanic \xe2\x80\x93 Level 3 in Light Vehicle Maintenance.
• Previous experience in a high-volume dealership as Vehicle Technician/Mechanic.
• Good attention to detail while working under time pressures.
• Proven track record of carrying out work to consistently high standards and deadlines.
• Competently follow written and spoken instructions.
• Relevant formal qualification is a minimum requirement for this role.
• Full UK Driving license.
