Job Overview
We're looking for a
Mortgage Administrator who loves building slick processes and can keep a high-volume pipeline moving without breaking a sweat -
understanding mortgages is definitely a bonus. You'll take every case from application through to completion, continually fine-tuning our workflows so that advisers can spend more time with clients and less time on admin. If you thrive on turning chaos into clockwork and want your efforts recognised on a case-by-case basis, we'd like to meet you.
Key responsibilities
Own the pipeline
| 40 - 60 live cases at any one time, from Decision in Principle (DIP) through offer and completion. Liaise proactively with lenders, solicitors, surveyors and clients to keep every file on track. You need to have a strong handle of everything happening at one time.
Process design & improvement
| Map, document and optimise end-to-end admin processes; challenge the status-quo and implement time-saving automations or check-lists. We want to build the most techy and efficient mortgage brokerage in the land - and you will be key
Compliance & accuracy
| Maintain 100 % file compliance, GDPR and AML standards, and ensure lender criteria are met first time.
Data & MI
| Keep CRM and lender portals spotless, generate weekly MI on SLAs, fall-outs and completions; present recommendations to management.
Customer updates
| Deliver clear, friendly progress calls/emails so clients feel informed and advisers stay out of the chase loop.
Team collaboration
| Act as go-to subject expert for junior admins; provide training tips and holiday cover when required.
Continuous learning
| Stay abreast of FCA / MCOB changes and new lender tech; suggest enhancements to keep us ahead of the curve.
What we're looking for
Experience:
Ideally 2 + years in mortgage admin / case management (whole-of-market or network).
Process mindset:
demonstrable track record of redesigning workflows, templates or check-lists that cut turnaround times.
Volume resilience:
comfortable juggling 40 + active files without accuracy slipping.
Systems:
confident on lender portals, CRM (e.g. Twenty7Tec, Mortgage Brain), and MS Excel for basic MI.
People skills:
professional communicator who nudges third-parties for updates and keeps clients calm
