This exciting opportunity is a DEFRA funded Landscape Recovery Round 2 Pilot project led by the Peak District National Park Authority and supported by the Staffordshire Wildlife Trust (SWT). This is a key administrative and financial support role for the project across the two-year development phase.MHC is an area of upland and associated foothills in the south-west of the Peak District National Park. The ambition of MHC is to provide hope and inspiration for enhancing biodiversity in one of the worlds most visited national parks - the Peak District. Working with at least 15 private and public land managers to develop a sustainable business model across at least 2,563 ha to create a \'bigger, better, and more connected natural landscape\'. There is scope for the pilot development phase to lead to a twenty to thirty-year delivery phase.Key Responsibilities:Provide administrative and financial support for the MHC Project Manager including:

  • Diary Management.
  • Arranging meetings, events and workshops.
  • Budget monitoring and reporting, purchase order and invoice raising.
  • Ensuring full compliance with the agreed financial procedures.
Requirements:
  • HNC/HND in business and finance or AAT foundation-level, or significant relevant experience .
  • Experience of database management and spreadsheets, analysing data and report writing.
  • Knowledge and understanding of routine financial processes e.g. VAT, invoices.
  • Excellent communication an interpersonal skills.
Desirable:
  • Use of GIS to digitise information.
  • An interest in nature conservation and engagement with knowledge of the project area.
