Job Description

On behalf of my client, who is a leading property managing agent, i am recruiting for a mobile maintenance engineer working in high end residential buildings across London.

Purpose of the role:

• To effectively and professionally manage the developments while providing a safe, secure and well-maintained environment to Residents.
• To pro-actively identify faults and maintenance issues.

• Check fabric of the buildings, ensure it is intact in every way. Any deficiencies should be notified to the Managing Agent immediately.
• To have a thorough understanding of, for example, how the call systems, communal door entry, heaters, fire doors, etc operate, and to advise all Residents after occupation and subsequently if necessary.
• To ensure that all inspections of essential items such as fire equipment, lift operation, sprinklers, fire alarms, etc. are instructed and carried out at appropriate intervals, and to place a notice on the board to that effect.
• To keep the Bin Room clean, tidy and hygienic always.
• To regularly check and ensure the external lighting, and the heating and lighting in the communal areas are properly regulated.
• To ensure the communal areas of the building, garden and grounds are kept tidy and maintained, including removing litter when necessary.
• To liaise with the Managing Agent with regard to cover for days off, holidays, and illness where necessary. Where it is not possible to give sufficient notice for absence, such as illness.
• To cover a large cluster of buildings, works are scheduled in advance.

• At least 3 years experience of working in a similar role.
• A basic level of electrical and mechanical systems, plumbing, carpentry etc.

• Monday to Friday 8am to 4pm
