Mixing Plant Operative - Days

Location: Denby, Ripley, Derbyshire, DE5 8JX

Hours: 5:30am \xe2\x80\x93 5:30pm - Rotational shifts - 4 on, 4 off

Salary: Up to \xc2\xa315.53 per hour

Contract: Full Time, Permanent (Weekly Pay)

Purpose of Role

We are looking for an enthusiastic individual to join a successful organisation and play a key role in their Mixing Plant process.

The Mixing Plant Operative will be responsible for the efficient operation and monitoring of the mixing process, operating a fully automatic batching system.

The role involves mixing various raw material ingredients together into finished blends, which supply our Extrusion department via internal silos/hoppers or bulk bag.

Responsibilities

• Observe all health and safety guidelines and report safety concerns to management
• Maintain a clean and safe work area
• Ensure that production requirements and standards are met consistently
• Carry out daily tasks in the mixing plant with consistent speed and accuracy
• Operate machinery safely and effectively, in line with the correct operating procedures
• Accept delivery of incoming raw materials and ensure the correct stock management process is followed
• Ensure that all required quality checks are carried out as per the company standards
• Understand and follow the production schedules
• Ensure that mixing plant data is logged efficiently and accurately on the system
• Work cooperatively with the team to meet customer requirements and team targets

Skills, Experience & Knowledge

Essential:

• Basic computer skills (SAP knowledge)
• Basic numeracy and literacy skills
• Good communication and listening skills
• Good attention to detail
• Ability to self-motivate, have a positive attitude and willingness to work as part of a team

Desirable:

• Knowledge of manufacturing processes, especially the uPVC industry would be beneficial \xe2\x80\x93 but training will be provided
• Previous experience of working in manufacturing / uPVC / extrusion would be beneficial
• FLT license would be beneficial
