We are constructing a state-of-the-art underground mine to enable the extraction of Polyhalite - a unique multi-nutrient fertiliser - along with the necessary infrastructure both above and below ground that will be required for transport, processing, and distribution.


POLY4 is our flagship multi-nutrient fertiliser product. Made from polyhalite, it contains four of the six macro-nutrients that are essential to plant growth. It allows farmers to maximise their crop yield, increase quality and improve soil structure with one simple product.





-Join us as a Mine Geologist on a 12 month fixed term contract where you will support the Woodsmith Geology team in delivering geological assistance for project development, including assisting with drilling operations.


Your duties will include:


Consistently apply Safety & Health principles in all team interactions and take personal responsibility for safety of self and others to ensure zero harm and elimination of fatalities Comply with all legal, environmental, occupational health and safety and risk management standards and best practices Complete personal risk assessments, equipment checks and inspections to ensure safe work Identify and report hazards within daily work area to control risks Collect and record high-quality geological, geotechnical and hydrogeological data to support project development, including drilling, shaft sinking and tunnelling activities Engage with Geology Team to maintain and improve data management systems and processes Assist in validation of geological data from other sources including drilling, laboratories, geophysical surveys and remote sensing Support planning and operations of geological field work including drilling and surveys to ensure they safe, efficient and cost-effective Organise geological support tasks including warehousing and logistics Assist with geological interpretation and geological modelling incorporating multiple geoscientific datasets Engage in continuous learning and development activities.

Qualifications

-Relevant Degree in Geology/Geosciences

Technical Knowledge & Skills



Operational Process Knowledge

: Understanding and executing operational processes relevant to the role.

Geological Expertise

: Practical experience in geological mapping, logging, and related activities.

Performance Monitoring

: Tracking benchmarks and identifying performance gaps.

Data Collection and Analysis

: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
