Moog Aircraft Group is looking for an apprentice-trained, experienced CNC Machinist (Turner/Mill-Turn) to join the team at our facility based in Wolverhampton. At Moog, we're focused on the customer and for us, this means designing complex mechanical products that are often bespoke and high-profile. Our Machinists work to exceptionally close tolerance, an essential requirement of the aerospace industry.
Key ResponsibilitiesWorking CNC lathes You will be working with a variety of materials Capability and competent in setting up and using machine tools Carry out own 1st off inspection and check/complete the necessary quality documentation Proven experience in a machine shop environment Competent in setting up and using machine tools Confident in using precision measurement equipment.

Key ExpertiseAn indentured apprenticeship, craft, or technical qualification is desirable Minimum experience required operating star sliding head machine -3 years Previous experience in engineering/manufacturing roles ideally within the aerospace industry Good knowledge of machining techniques & appropriate tools Attention to detail & accuracy, and process improvement techniques Using the relevant inspection techniques/equipment to achieve drawing tolerance

Please note that this role requires working a night shift pattern. Additionally, overtime may be requested. The candidate must be self-certified and obtain a quality stamp after the qualifying period.

Security Clearance

Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS) clearance is required and must be maintained for this role.
