Migration Specialist Block Array

As a Barclays Migration Specialist Block Array you will be primarily focused on storage migration, part of the storage transformation program to bring us to the next-gen storage platforms. As part of the Enterprise Storage team, this a great opportunity where you will assist in supporting other global storage project and operation initiatives. What will you be doing?

• Taking ownership of the storage migration technologies, including Dell / Pure Storage arrays and various replication tools
• Preparing and perform Array based storage migration, including out-of-business hours work
• Maintaining IT policies, standard and system operation procedure
• Supporting all projects and operations within the Global Storage
• Liaising with application owners to build consensus on migration timeline and window
• Collaborating with storage engineers and other migration specialists based on user priority and requirement
• Identifying and drive the most non-disruptive way in helping business applications transform to the new storage platforms

What we\xe2\x80\x99re looking for:

• Knowledge in enterprise storage technologies such as Dell EMC, Cisco, Brocade and IBM,
• Working experience of SAN based replication techniques such as Open Replicator, SRDF, SANCOPY, and Pure Replication
• Understanding of Brocade and Cisco SAN and comfortable with operational tasks such as zoning, port and VSAN/FID movement)
• Understanding of operating systems and databases

Skills that will help you in the role:

• Familiar with Change management, ITIL and Service First
• Deep knowledge and best practice in SAN design and architecture with Brocade / Broadcom
• Familiar with host multipathing software configuration

Where will you be working?
You will be based in Radbroke, Knutsford. The Barclays Technology Campus just outside Manchester is our tech command centre and a vital strategic powerhouse behind our global operations. The campus is set in a 64-acre self-contained site, in a beautiful green environment and it offers unrivalled facilities for work and for play. We have an onsite gym, as well as outdoor tennis, football and cricket areas, as well as onsite restaurant and coffee shops.
