Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled MIG Welder to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of welding techniques and the ability to work with various materials, particularly sheet metal. This role requires a meticulous approach to fabrication and assembly, ensuring high-quality standards are met consistently.

Duties

Fabricate and assemble metal components using MIG welding techniques. Perform welding tasks on sheet metal, ensuring precision and adherence to specifications. Utilise power tools and hand tools effectively in the welding process. Conduct stick welding as required for specific projects. Maintain a clean and safe working environment by following health and safety regulations. Inspect completed welds for quality assurance and rectify any defects as necessary. Collaborate with team members to meet production deadlines and project requirements. Demonstrate mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot equipment issues during the welding process. Apply basic maths skills for measurements and calculations related to welding tasks.

Experience

Candidates should have prior experience in MIG welding, with a proven track record of working with various materials, particularly in a manufacturing or construction setting. Familiarity with mechanical systems, along with the ability to operate both power tools and hand tools safely, is essential. A strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship will be crucial for success in this role.

Job Types: Full-time, Temp to perm

Pay: 13.50-14.50 per hour
