Midweight Designer, Crawley, salary up to 35,000 p/a depending on experience

As a key member of our Creative Team, the Designer will bring ideas to life with engaging visuals and fresh, innovative designs. Working closely with the Creative Manager, as well as the Marketing, Ecommerce, and Creative colleagues, the Designer will help ensure all creative assets align with Premier Group's business goals. The focus? Capturing attention, boosting engagement, and driving conversions through standout design.

Responsibilities and duties



Conceptualisation



The Designer will work closely with the Creative Team to develop innovative design solutions that align with Premier Group's marketing strategy, brand vision, and business goals. Designs will be adaptable for both print and digital channels, ensuring consistency across all platforms.

The role is about striking the perfect balance between creativity and commercial impact to enhance campaign performance.

Staying ahead of industry trends, competitor activity, and emerging design innovations will be key to keeping Premier Group's brand fresh, engaging, and relevant.

Visual Asset Creation



Collaborating with the Marketing and Ecommerce teams, you'll help design and create on brand visual concepts and assets that drive customer engagement and conversion.

You'll deliver projects and assets efficiently while staying adaptable to shifting business priorities, ensuring workflows remain smooth and aligned.

With guidance from the Creative Manager, you'll receive feedback from stakeholders and refine designs as needed to maintain high-quality standards.

I. Design assets You'll be responsible for crafting high-quality visual designs and digital assets that align with our brand guidelines. This includes everything from logos and print materials to social media graphics, email designs, web banners, and product development.

All assets will be created following best practices for each channel, ensuring they meet technical requirements and are optimised for seamless execution. For example:

High-resolution formats for print Screen-optimized assets for digital use Wireframe development Interactive, video, and motion graphics
II. Photography, video and imagery Collating and curating product images for campaigns and design assets, assisting with photo or video shoots by the in-house design team or external contractors, when required.

Retouching of images and maintaining the correct naming and filing of all final images. Ensuring photography is saved at the right resolution to be able to support both print and digital executions.

III. Bespoke and personalisation packaging concepts Supporting the Sales Team with Personalisation projects; developing design concepts for clients based on their briefs, when and if junior designers are unavailable.

Asset Management



Ensuring that all assets created by the Creative Team are named, filed and stored promptly and correctly; ensuring the wider Premier Team are able to easily find and access, where applicable. Ensuring assets under development can be shared and collaborated on across the Creative Team.

Brand consistency



Working alongside the Marketing, Ecommerce and Design team to ensure that all creations are on-brand; that our visual brand messaging is strong and consistent across all channels and marketing efforts to create a full omnichannel customer experience.

Ensuring consistency in the use of our visual identity and adherence to brand guidelines across all design deliverables will be a key aspect of your role, maintaining a cohesive brand style. Whilst maintaining an awareness of and adhere to the Premier Group Staff Handbook (and company/statutory HR and environmental policies)

Knowledge and skills



Bachelor's degree in graphic design, visual arts or related field. 3+ years of professional design experience, with a diverse portfolio showcasing a range of commercial design work across digital, strategy and print, as well as demonstrating your innovative thinking and creative process. Proficiency in design software such as Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign). Excellent understanding of design principles, typography and colour theory. Team player with strong communication and collaboration skills (to include knowledge sharing / mentoring other designers when applicable). Experience with UI and UX design is advantageous. Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail. Ability to take ownership of tasks and steer them through to completion. Solid planning and organisational skills, with ability to multitask.
