:Summary and purpose of position:Wincanton is a leading third party logistics (3PL) and supply chain solutions provider in the UK and Ireland. With over 17,000 colleagues across more than 200 sites and a 3,400 strong fleet of vehicles, we put our customers at the heart of everything we do and our mission is to make our customers business's better, every day.On the Micheldever Tyre Services contract you will assist in providing all garages and dealerships within our coverage area with their orders on a daily basis.Duties and responsibilities:

• Responsible for the delivery, unloading and return of tyres from customers daily.
• Ensure the manual unloading / loading of tyres is carried out In a timely manner.
• Ensuring all delivery and collection notes and paperwork are correct.
• Ensuring all transport legislation including drivers hours and defect reporting is adhered to.
• Collaboration with the wider team to continually improve ways of working & processes.
• Ensure all Legal, Health and Safety, Food Safety and Operational procedures are always adhered to ensure the safety of self and others.
• Report any injuries, accidents and any Health and Safety issues.
• Adhering to procedures and practises according to the training received.
• To participate and be involved in cultivating a culture of continuous improvement
• To carry out and other reasonable request as detailed by the transport management team.
• Maintain cleanliness of company vehicles and wear uniform and any PPE provided.

Experience, skills and attributes:

• Previous experience in a similar role is preferred
• Experience in driving is essential.
• Results orientated and can work to schedules .
• Hands on approach to problem solving
• Able to lift and handle goods
• Good degree of literacy and numeracy
• Understands the basics of Health and Safety procedures
• Good communication skills and time management
