The Role



As a Mentor, you'll work closely with young people who may face a range of challenges, helping them build confidence, develop life skills, and achieve their goals. You'll be a consistent, positive presence in their lives - providing tailored support, encouragement, and guidance.

Key Responsibilities



Build trusting relationships with young people with SEND.
Support emotional wellbeing and social development.
Assist with goal-setting and tracking progress.
Work collaboratively with families, tutors and the Redefine team.
Advocate for the needs and aspirations of each individual.
Completing daily reports and end of term reviews on student progression towards their individual targets

About You



We're looking for someone who is:

Compassionate, patient, and resilient.
A great communicator and active listener.
Creative in problem-solving and flexible in approach.
Passionate about inclusion and equal opportunities.

Essential for the role:



Experience working with young people with SEND.
Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).
Full drivers licence and vehicle.
Ability to de-escalate challenging behaviours and respond calmly in high-stress situations.

Desirable for the role:



Qualifications in youth work, education, psychology, or related fields.
Knowledge of EHCPs, neurodiversity or trauma-informed practice.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: 15.00-25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 10 - 30 per week
