This is an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated individual to join a very busy Mental Health Act Team with dedicated Mental Health Act (MHA) Officers.



Our MHA Officers ensure that the administrative functions of the Mental Health Act 1983 run efficiently and in accordance with the Mental Health Act 1983, Code of Practice, current and future mental health law.



They provide a broad range of varied advice and guidance based on an in-depth knowledge of the Mental Health Act 1983 to all disciplines across the Trust.



Each MHA Officer facilitates the smooth running of Mental Health Tribunals and Hospital Managers' hearings; ensuring that the Care Trust meets all professional and legal requirements and responsibilities.



The successful applicant will be responsible for the Mental Health Act (MHA) administration of a case load of up to 50 in-patient and community clients.
