As they continue to expand our research portfolio, they are seeking a skilled and motivated Medicinal Chemist to join their dynamic team.

Job Summary:

As a Medicinal Chemist, you will be an integral part of our drug discovery team, contributing to the design and synthesis of new small molecules with therapeutic potential. Your expertise in synthetic chemistry and medicinal chemistry will be instrumental in identifying promising drug candidates that hold the potential to make a significant impact on patient lives.

Key Responsibilities:
Medicinal Chemistry Design: Utilize your expertise in medicinal chemistry to design and synthesize novel drug candidates with desired pharmacological properties.
Multi-Step Synthesis: Plan and execute multi-step synthetic routes to prepare small molecules and intermediates for biological testing.
Structure-Activity Relationship (SAR) Studies: Conduct SAR studies to explore the impact of structural modifications on compound potency, selectivity, and pharmacokinetic properties.
Analytical Characterization: Perform analytical characterization of synthesized compounds using various spectroscopic and chromatographic techniques (NMR, LC-MS, HPLC, etc.).
Analyse and interpret data from biological assays and integrate findings into compound design strategies.
Literature Review: Stay up-to-date with the latest developments in medicinal chemistry and drug discovery through scientific literature review.
Collaborative Approach: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including biologists and pharmacologists, to support drug discovery programs.
Maintain comprehensive records of experimental procedures, results, and conclusions.
Adhere to laboratory safety protocols and ensure compliance with regulatory guidelines and best practices.

Qualifications and Requirements:

Education: Ph.D. in Medicinal Chemistry, Organic Chemistry, or a related field. Candidates with relevant Master\xe2\x80\x99s degrees and extensive experience will also be considered.
Proven experience in medicinal chemistry and synthetic organic chemistry, gained through academic research or industry roles.
Synthetic Techniques: Proficiency in modern synthetic methodologies and reaction mechanisms.
Strong analytical skills to analyse complex data and draw meaningful conclusions.
Creative and innovative mindset with a passion for drug discovery and medicinal chemistry.
Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
Communication Skills: Effective written and verbal communication skills to present findings and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.
