Duties
Greet and welcome patients in a warm and courteous manner.
To process telephone requests for appointments, prescriptions and various other queries and taking messages as necessary, all in a professional manner.
Perform clerical duties including data entry, filing, and maintaining records.
Use of computers for processing prescriptions, making appointments and scanning documents into patient medical notes.
To work effectively as part of a team, prioritising work to ensure work completed in a timely manner.
Requirements
5 GCSE's Grade C or above or equivalent.
Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
Ability to perform data entry accurately with attention to detail.
A friendly disposition with a patient-focused attitude.
Capability to work independently as well as part of a team.
Ability to maintain patient confidentiality.
Proven office and administrative experience in a medical or healthcare setting is desirable but not essential.
