Job Summary:



We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented

Medical Administrator

to support the smooth operation of administrative processes along the patient pathway. This role is essential in ensuring that patient journeys are efficiently managed in line with agreed targets and timescales, and that all administrative duties are carried out to a high standard.

Key Responsibilities:



Coordinate, monitor, and implement appropriate changes within administrative workflows to support an efficient and timely patient pathway. Provide reception duties for community services clinics, ensuring professional and courteous front-line support. Accurately enter patients onto waiting lists and clinics, updating demographic details (e.g., address, phone number, GP information) on relevant clinical/data systems. Administer patient registrations, transfers, and discharges, maintaining accurate records on the appropriate systems. Participate in routine validation and auditing of system data to ensure accuracy and compliance, including patient pathway audits. Work flexibly to support service needs, including covering for staff absences and occasional evening or weekend shifts. Handle telephone enquiries from patients, carers, and external agencies with professionalism and empathy, taking appropriate follow-up actions and maintaining accurate records. Receive and process incoming correspondence (paper and electronic), ensuring it is directed to the appropriate recipient in a timely manner.

Skills and Experience:



Previous administrative experience in a healthcare or similar setting is highly desirable. Strong IT skills, including experience with clinical and data systems. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal. Ability to multitask and work under pressure in a busy environment. Commitment to confidentiality and high standards of data accuracy. Flexible and responsive approach to workload and changing priorities.

Working Hours:



Full-time, 37.5 hours per week Flexibility required for occasional evening and weekend work

Pay: 25,480.00-26,000.00 per year
