About the role
As a Media Manager here at Drax, you\'ll play a critical role in our External Affairs Team, delivering media relations activity for Drax Group. You\'ll support the Group Head of Media and PR in implementing the broader reputational strategy for the Group and building relationships with journalists that support the delivery of Drax\'s business objectives.

You\'ll plan and deliver media relations outreach across a range of outlets that cover a combination of business-as-usual activity and proactive campaigns.

Working collaboratively, you\'ll deliver these campaigns alongside colleagues in public affairs, digital communications, brand and strategic comms, internal comms and community relations whilst building relationships with journalists across a range of national, regional and trade media outlets in the UK.

About you
You\'ll have experience in a communications or a journalism role, in-house or agency, alongside demonstrable experience developing content and stories for a range of media platforms, in a fast-paced environment.

You\'ll be growing our media presence, creating positive publicity and increasing awareness of Drax. To do this, you will need excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Your superpower will be the ability to take complex information and make it accessible across a variety of channels, for multiple audiences.

With the ability to use your own initiative to develop story ideas, you\'ll be creative and have exceptional writing skills to be able to sell these into appropriate media outlets/journalists.
