Job overview


This is a varied role, which includes conceptual design work, media work (including photography and videography), technical proficiency across all social media platforms, database design and management, supporting event management and effective administrative support across a number of areas. It includes:
  • Social media activation and content creation;
  • Trust wide communications support (eg. termly newsletter, poster design, brochure design)
  • Marketing of and the provision of administrative support to the Trust\xe2\x80\x99s SCITT (in-house training offering for secondary teachers), via the DfE Portal;
  • Management of the Trust\xe2\x80\x99s engagement with alumni, leveraging this to inspire current students and attract students to the Trust\xe2\x80\x99s schools;
  • Effective design, implementation and management of suitable alumni databases (including working with external partners where applicable);
  • Supporting Trust wide enrichment activities through the planning and design of suitable promotional materials; and
  • The provision of effective administrative support around the planning and running of Trust wide events.

Newham Community Learning exists in order to provide an excellent education for all young people in our community. We are the only Trust to offer all-through provision from ages 2 - 16 within a single family of schools in Newham. Across our two primary and four secondary schools, all located in the west of the borough, we educate over 5,400 local children and young people, and employ a team of close to 700 members of staff, the vast majority of whom live locally.

September 2023 - We are delighted to partner with Teach First to deliver our School Centred Initial Teacher Training (SCITT) programme. Teach First is a national charity that develops and supports teachers and leaders who are determined to make a difference where it is needed the most. As a training partner, we will be working with Teach First to deliver this one year teacher training programme, which enables participants to train and develop skills in the classroom. It is ideal for people who are eager to learn on the job and make a difference in their community from day one.
