We are looking for motivated and enthusiastic tradespeople to joint our growing engineering family.

Our Technicians provide facilities support services across our client site. The role will be responsible for carrying out a range of general / fabric maintenance and business support tasks. They will report to one of the Mitie Facilities Manager in the delivery of reactive, planned and ad hoc maintenance tasks.

Suitable training and up-skilling - May be given, as and when required, to achieve competency and the ability to perform the following (as detailed in responsibilities).

Working hours - Although the core working hours are 08:00 to 17:00, there may be a certain degree of flexibility depending on individual circumstances.

Main Duties

• To undertake routine, statutory & mandatory PPM tasks on both building and production assets through teamwork, in accordance to recognised standards.
• To undertake reactive repairs as required.
• To work as part of the onsite team to meet statutory compliance targets and adherence to all regulations.
• Achieving SLA targets on PPM\'s and reactive tasks on your PDA device.
• Accurate completion of Time Sheets and Work Record Sheet
• To achieve the highest level of service to the building occupants in a cost effective, technically competent, and safe manner
• Adopt a right first-time ethos
• To assist in the co-ordination and control of sub-contractors to ensure compliance with company policies and procedures, health and safety, quality, and environmental responsibilities
• To undertake escort duties of Sub-contractors where required
• To provide \xe2\x80\x9cOut of Hours\xe2\x80\x9d support on a call out rota
• Ensure documentation is completed correctly for PPM tasks, and reactive tasks are reported and recorded via the PDA.
• To undertake tasks as instructed by on site management and support the wider Mitie team as required.
• Alert your line manager to any facilities related issues that may affect day-to-day business operations.

• Always follow Group and Company policies and procedures
• Report any apparent deficiencies in systems of work or equipment provided that may result in failure of service delivery or risk to health and safety or the environment
• Use all work equipment and personal PPE properly and in accordance with training received
• Report any issues or training needs to your Line manager and /or via your divisional incident reporting system.

• To support the Facilities Manager to ensure the highest possible standard of service delivery is provided for all planned and reactive maintenance and carried out in line with it\'s scheduled date meeting the contracted SLA\'s and KPI.
• To ensure the company Health and Safety policy is always adhered to.
• Delivery technical & asset compliance and standards in line with the MITIE Maintenance BusinessManagement System.
• An open approach to multiskilled working is desired and full training will be given
• All aspects of Mechanical engineering and maintenance at the site are supported, offering site expertise as part of the team.

• Industry recognised Qualifications (Mechanical)
• Previous experience in the engineering & maintenance service sector
• Willing to learn and develop new skills, demonstrate a pro-active approach.
• Strong work ethic
• Good communicator (written, oral) in English
• Literate in Microsoft application skills - outlook, word, excel

• Time Management: Prioritise workload and work to deadlines. Enthusiastic and punctual.
• Keen eye for detail, practical, problem solver with a \'can do, will do, with pleasure\' attitude.
• Ability to work under pressure, whilst maintaining attention to detail.

• Flexible enough to undertake duties to accommodate operational requirements.
• Ability to meet the criteria to obtain security clearance and vetting. This includes a criminal record check and a traceable 5 year working history with references from previous employment.
