Salary:

54,900.81 per annum + travel allowance + annual bonus + Veolia benefits

Hours:

40 hours per week on a day-shift rotational basis

Location:

Veolia SELCHP ERF, Landmann Way, Deptford, London SE14 5RS

What will you be doing?



Carry out planned and defect maintenance on, hydraulic systems, overhead cranes, grabs, lifting equipment, high pressure boilers, rotating plant including large motor-driven fans and pumps To report, diagnose and remedy plant defects, proposing improvements where appropriate To propose and develop modifications to plant/apparatus as appropriate To maintain and improve safe and environmentally friendly working practices, to ensure that a safe working environment is maintained. This is to include the completion of, and adherence to, Risk Assessments and Method Statements, and other safe systems of work To assist in major outage programmes and supervise contract staff as necessary To use condition monitoring techniques such as Ultrasound probes, Thermographic cameras, Vibration Analysis equipment etc to determine plant status and to generate reports To carry out other duties within the scope and spirit of the job as instructed by management

What are we looking for?



Recognised apprenticeship or relevant qualification in Mechanical Engineering good fault-finding and practical skills, and be competent in the use of hand and machine tools, welding and cutting equipment and rigging heavy loads Aware of Health and Safety and Environmental Legislation in the workplace Experience of working on a heavy industrial plant is essential
