Shift: Sunday-Friday 21:30-06:00 for a week then Monday-Thursday for a week - 21:30-06:00

Benefits - 25 days + bank holidays + an opportunity to purchase 5 additional days subject to site availability, Pension - Company 6%, Employee 5%, Life Insurance - x4 death in service, Training and qualifications to further advance skill sets and pay.

Overview:

Working for a large manufacturing business that have sites across the UK. The mechanical operative will work within the maintenance team. You will be working with experienced maintenance engineers repairing automated production machinery.

This role would suit a mechanically inclined engineer who wants to work on production and plant machinery that consist of conveyors, pumps, belts, crushes, motors, gearboxes etc.

Training will, and can be given in the form of external courses to bolster your CV and certifications if desired.

Key responsibilities of the Mechanical Operative role:

- Maintain, service and repair production line machinery

The ideal candidate / Mechanical Operative may have some of the following, however, please note these are only desirable and not essential as all applications will be looked at individually:

- An mechanical skill set \xe2\x80\x93 ability to work with tools (spanners/wrenches), nuts and bolts

- Strong communication skills

- NVQ level 2 or above in a mechanical skill set

- Competent at changing like for like parts working with tools associated in an engineering environment

-A general interest in mechanical engineering \xe2\x80\x93 fixing and repairing mechanical machinery.
