ability. You will play a key role in maintaining, repairing, and improving mechanical assets across our sites.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform planned and reactive maintenance on a wide range of mechanical equipment, including pumps, motors, gearboxes, and pipework systems.
Fault-find and diagnose issues across mechanical and electrical systems.
Carry out welding and fabrication tasks as needed (MIG/TIG/arc welding).
Conduct inspections, testing, and upgrades to ensure equipment operates safely and efficiently.
Support installation projects, mechanical modifications, and system upgrades.
Work closely with other trades (electrical, building services, etc.) to deliver integrated solutions.
Maintain accurate records of work completed, including fault reports and service documentation.
Ensure all work complies with health and safety regulations and company procedures.
What We're Looking For:
Extensive experience working with industrial pumps, motors, and rotating equipment.
Good working knowledge of industrial electrics (motor wiring, fault finding, isolations).
Proficient in welding and fabrication (preferably coded or highly competent).
Strong mechanical fault-finding skills.
Ability to read technical drawings, schematics, and manuals.
Excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to maintenance.
Self-motivated, organised, and able to manage own workload effectively.
Committed to working safely and to a high standard of workmanship.
Qualifications & Experience:
Recognised apprenticeship or NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Mechanical Engineering, Maintenance, or similar discipline.
Additional electrical qualifications (e.g., 17th/18th Edition) are highly desirable but not essential.
Welding certifications are an advantage.
Minimum 5 years' experience in a mechanical maintenance role.

38,000 - 42,000
, depending on experience.
