Mechanical Maintenance Engineer (Water Treatment/FMCG)

Do you come from a mechanical maintenance background in an industrial environment and want to join a steadily growing and tight-knit business in a role that will see you working autonomously while also having the opportunity to learn about new equipment?

Based near Leeds this company is already a leading player in the wastewater and biogas industries and is now looking to expand their Operations and Maintenance team to look after their own sites as well as sites belonging to major global businesses involved in a range of industries such as Waste Treatment and FMCG.

In this role you will be responsible for carrying out mechanical maintenance primarily at 2 FMCG sites in the Hull area as part of the company\'s O&M contracts in the region. You will be working on a variety of equipment (namely Water Treatment plant) and occasionally supporting with maintenance at other sites slightly south of Hull.

The ideal candidate will have experience in a fast-paced industrial environment (ideally in FMCG or Wastewater Treatment) and will be capable of carrying out maintenance on rotating equipment such as pumps, valves or generators. This role would also be suitable for an Ex-Navy or Marine Engineer looking to bring their skills to the civilian sector.

The role:

• Covering 2 sites in the Hull area
• Carrying out planned and reactive maintenance on Water Treatment plant
• Liaising with Sub-Contractors where necessary
• Ensuring works are carried out in compliance with H&S regulations
• Looking after equipment such as pumps, valves and pipework

The Person:

• Experience operating and maintaining industrial equipment or rotating equipment
• Ex-Forces and Marine Engineers also highly suitable
• Flexible approach to work and comfortable with occasional travel outside of Hull area
• Ability to use maintenance management systems (advantageous)
• Full UK driving license
