Job role: Mechanical Fitter/Assembler

Salary: \xc2\xa328,000-\xc2\xa333,000 DOE

Location: Bedford, Bedfordshire

Hours: 8:00-16:30 Monday to Friday - 38 hours per week

Job Type: Full Time, Permanent

The Role:

\xc2\xb7 Perform mechanical assembly and fitting of precision engineered components according to specifications, drawings, and work instructions.

\xc2\xb7 Carry out all fitting activities, including hand working, fitting components, installing pressure tubing and assembling metal models.

\xc2\xb7 Use a variety of hand tools, power tools, and measuring equipment to perform assembly tasks accurately.

\xc2\xb7 Continuously improve assembly processes by providing feedback and suggestions for optimisation.

\xc2\xb7 Meet production targets and deadlines while maintaining a high level of quality and precision.

The Requirements:

\xc2\xb7 Minimum of 5 years worth of experience in a similar position within the Aerospace/Aerodynamic industry (essential)

\xc2\xb7 Apprentice trained or time served (essential)

\xc2\xb7 Previous fitting and/or assembly experience (essential)

\xc2\xb7 Strong understanding of other precision engineering process - CNC machining, EDM wiring, Jig boring/grinding etc (advantageous)

\xc2\xb7 Previous experience in a bench fitting role or environment (advantageous)
