Mechanical Engineer \xe2\x80\x93 Defence \xe2\x80\x93 Reading - Outside of Scope of IR35
Due to rapid and continued growth, an exciting opportunity has arisen for a Mechanical Engineer to join a leading contract organisation, delivering consultancy services, Engineering solutions and site operations support, to some of the UK\xe2\x80\x99s leading Defence contractors.
This role will suit a Mechanical Engineer who enjoys a hybrid delivery role on high complexity projects. The Mechanical Engineer will be responsible for an aspect of a \xc2\xa3750m Defence programme, and will appeal to someone ideally from a Nuclear or Defence related industry sector.
Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to;
Generating mechanical engineering project deliverables such as:
- Engineering sketches
- Basic calculations
- Technical specifications
- Technical reports
- Input into the generations of project schedules
- Maintaining relationships with our Clients and the Supply Chain
- Generating and responding to Technical Queries (TQs)
A good understanding of engineering design fundamentals and of general mechanical engineering principles (e.g. material selection, static calculations, basic fluid mechanics, engineering drawings) are highly desirable.
