At Wath Group Ltd we are seeking a skilled Mechanical Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in mechanical knowledge and engineering principles, with the ability to design, develop, and implement innovative solutions. This role requires a detail-oriented individual who can effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance product performance and reliability.

Duties

and Responsibilities

:

Design and develop mechanical systems and components using advanced software tools like Fusion 360. Conduct root cause analysis to identify issues in existing designs and propose practical solutions. Create and interpret schematics, ensuring compliance with industry standards and GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing). Collaborate with electrical engineers to integrate logic controllers into mechanical systems. Perform system design evaluations and modifications based on testing results. Maintain comprehensive documentation of design processes, specifications, and testing outcomes. Participate in team meetings to discuss project progress, challenges, and strategies for improvement. Hands on product development, modelling and reporting of results.

Skills

& Requirements

A minimum HND or equivalent in an appropriate field. Strong mechanical knowledge with a solid understanding of engineering principles. Proficiency in Fusion 360 and Autocad for design and analysis tasks. Experience with root cause analysis techniques to troubleshoot engineering problems effectively. Familiarity with system design methodologies and the ability to work on complex projects. Knowledge of GD&T principles for accurate component specification. Ability to read and create detailed schematics for mechanical systems using 2D/3D CAD packages. Excellent problem-solving skills combined with logical thinking abilities. Strong communication skills for effective collaboration within multidisciplinary teams.

Working Hours:

Monday - Thursday: 8am - 5pm, Friday 8am - 1pm

Pay:

32,000 - 40,000 dependant on experience
