The successful candidate will ideally be apprentice trained, to minimum
level 2
(C&G / EAL NVQ). We will also consider those who have an attitude for mechanical work or have experience in a similar role. They will work as part of a knowledgeable team to ensure that all plant, equipment, buildings and infrastructure are maintained in accordance with current health, safety, environmental and equipment legislation standards.
Shift Pattern: 4 on 4 off days/nights (average of 43 hours a week).
*Candidates must be able to travel to location of business

Requirements
Mechanical Engineering background with hands-on experience.
Understanding of Health and Safety legislation and responsibilities.
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
Highly motivated and willing to support others.
Manufacturing / Process experience with evidence of PPM delivery and control.
Ability to demonstrate fault-finding skills.
Must be open to further personal development in line with the Company training plan.
Be able to work on your own, proficiently, without immediate supervision, or as part of a team.
Must be eligible to work in UK.
Responsibilities
Working closely with production to maximise utilisation of site assets.
Maintain maximum effectiveness and benefit from existing site equipment.
Assist with development of new manufacturing methods and contribute to continuous improvement.
Proactively drive improvement and cost savings of energy and utilities whilst maintaining the ability to meet varying and increasing demands from production.
Work cross functionally to deliver a consistent and dynamic approach to continuous improvement.
To ensure all work is completed in compliance with Standard Operating Procedures.
Conduct planned maintenance of plant in adherence to the CMMS system (Holistech).
Completion of all relevant, statutory documentation.
