IntaPeople are partnered with a highly reputable electrical manufacturing company in South Wales, who are looking to continue to enhance their Engineering team with a Mechanical Design Engineer.
The Mechanical Design Engineers role within the Engineering Department is to create design solutions for extensions to customers\' existing products.
What you will be doing
- Following directions and/or specifications
- Use Solidworks to create, design, and/or modify mechanical drawings.
- Create Mechanical Designs and Label Schedules for specific projects.
- Directly communicate any issues with Manufacturing and Quality team members.
- Assist engineers with initial design requirements and define plans and details to meet manufacturing requirements.
- Provide customers and internal departments with engineering support.
- Experience working within the switchgear industry and working with HV (high voltage) would be an advantage.
- Experience in a high-volume manufacturing environment.
- Experience of dealing with customers and suppliers
- Experience using Solidworks
- HNC/HND Educated or Degree in Mechanical Engineering
- Up to \xc2\xa335,000 salary
- Expensed travel when required
