The company
The company are a family-owned Automation process builder for a variety of key industries, working for some of the largest organisations in the world. With a relocation to another nearby site, the company are continuing to grow and looking to add to the team following the recent acquisition of a major new contract.

The role
Reporting into the Service Manager within the Service and Sales team, the company are looking for a driven Mechanical Design Engineer to join the team in Dudley.

You will take responsibility for:

• Produce detailed design drawings and calculations in an efficient time frame whilst working to customer deadlines.
• Compile a variety of design projects including hydraulic, combustion and pneumatic calculations, as well as structural design calculations and Mechanical layouts and GA\'s.
• Work with Auto CAD and Auto Desk inventor to compose drawings and designs.
• Use CFD/ FEA to develop and approve design work.
• Assist with selecting suitable materials and components to assist with cost estimations.
• Liasing with internal staff, customers, and suppliers
• Ensure that all designs are compliant with design specifications and standards in the UK and overseas.
• Maintain design input throughout the whole product lifecycle from inception through to the final hand over of the project.

What you need
It is ESSENTIAL for the successful candidate to have the following:

• An Engineering degree or a relevant field of study is required.
• Experience working as a Design Engineer in a Manufacturing environment
• Experience of Design Engineering in a Heavy Engineering background

Other DESIRABLE skills include:

• Experience working in a Forge or Furnace environment.
• Experience of designing capital equipment or large-scale machinery.
• Good inter- personal skills and communication skills.

There is also the opportunity for key progression and a great work life balance, working 7am - 3:30pm Mon- Thurs and 7am - 12:00pm Fri. On offer is a salary of between \xc2\xa340- \xc2\xa343k depending on experience and other factors.
