As a Mechanical Design Engineer, you will be working within the automation group designing special purpose machines for a diverse range of industries

such as automotive, aerospace, food, packaging, printing instrumentation and even Formula 1.

To give you an idea of how this Mechanical Design Engineer role in factory automation would look and feel, here are some of the things you could expect to do:

• Maintain a comprehensive knowledge and understanding of trends in automation development and manufacture, project management and methodology and systems engineering
• Develop an understanding of the company products and services, customers, competitors, and the business environment
• Share information and ideas to enable others to build their understanding of automation systems, components and the department\'s objectives
• Contribute to the delivery of engineering jobs/projects by agreeing on relevant individual/personal objectives, targets and success criteria for assigned activities and own area of work
• Take joint responsibility for project planning, project delivery and cost control.

To apply for this Mechanical Design Engineer role, you must be qualified and have experience in an engineering discipline for example Mechanical, Mechatronics or Aerospace, You will also require the following:

• CAD experience, preferably SolidWorks, including parts, assemblies and detailed drawings.
• Enterprise PDM, document management and project management methodologies.
• Systems engineering experience.
• Knowledge of SAP R3 or a similar integrated MRP system
• Experience in Microsoft Office products Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and PowerPoint
• Knowledge of using SAP R2 or similar.
