As Mechanical Assembly Fitter, you will assemble components according to technical drawings and customer specifications, perform quality checks on finished products and meet monthly delivery targets.
Mechanical Assembly Fitter Key Responsibilities:
Produce customer compliant products using WPE quality controls
Interpret work instructions, assembly drawings and bill of materials to produce compliant product and assemble components to best engineering practices
Report quality concerns and kit shortages to mechanical team lead
Verify goods inward material is correct to drawing requirements pre-assembly operations
Ensure safe working practices are always met whilst adhering to the WPE health and safety policy
Contribute to continuous improvement
Mechanical Assembly Fitter Skills & Behaviours:
Good communication skills
Strong manual dexterity using various hand tools
Excellent attention to detail
A problem-solving mindset and a collaborative approach to working
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment to meet delivery schedules
Experience working in a similar role or keen interest in developing new skills precision mechanical engineering
Experience reading and interpreting engineering drawings
Experience in manual drilling, reaming and tapping is preferred
Experience of deburr operations - desirable
Background working in a manufacturing environment is preferred
