Be part of all aspects of missile development as a Mechanical Architect as part of this established weapons manufacturer.

You will gather and manage functional and mechanical requirements to achieve missile performance within legal, time and budget constraints.

Responsibilities:

• Analysing overall product structure, mechanical interfaces and architecture
• Facilitating architectural trades
• Ensuring support of generic policies i.e. modularity, re-use, design for assembly
• Undertaking phased missile level technology maturity & complexity of design assessments
• Defining missile level hardware requirements
• Supporting product Design and program Phase Gate reviews

Requirements:

• A degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience
• Experience of electro-mechanical & mechanical design
• Experience developing proving logic and leading the generation of compliance evidence
• We are also interested in a good understanding of broader engineering fields, such as: Aerodynamics / Materials /Vibration, Shock, Fatigue /Six Sigma & Lean Design /Critical Parameter Management /Systems Engineering V-model /Failure Mode & Effects Analysis/ Test Design i.e. Design of Experiments

• Hybrid based in Stevenage, Bristol or Bolton
• Salary: \xc2\xa345,000-\xc2\xa365,000 + Bonus + Benefits
• Eligibility: British and Dual Nationals due to security reasons

Due to the nature of work undertaken at our client\'s site, incumbents of these positions are required to meet special nationality rules and therefore these vacancies are only open to British Citizens.
