Project Manager

The existing team provides expert electrical installation services for commercial and industrial projects throughout London, Essex and surrounding counties. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a friendly, experienced, and innovative company working with several loyal clients, that is committed to developing and expanding an already strong team.
Your New Role
As Project Manager you be responsible for overseeing and managing a variety of projects. You will have at least five years' experience in the installation and commissioning of commercial electrical installations for project values ranging from 50K to 1.5 million. Have experience with managing a team of engineers and subcontractors and be confident in interacting with clients. The position is both site and office based, so candidates living within a 40 miles radius of the office (or willing to re-locate) will be preferred.
Responsibilities:
Manage projects from inception to completion - ensuring they are delivered on time, within scope and within budget
Develop and maintain construction programs
Manage the procurement of materials, site plant and hiring additional labour as required, being cost conscious and delivering according to program
Managing site engineers and subcontractors
Manage and respond to daily project requirements, produce progress reports, and attend weekly meetings
Proactively resolve issues encountered onsite in conjunction with site engineers
Regularly communicate with clients regarding the progress of the project, acting as a company representative
Complete all necessary paperwork prior to, throughout and following each project
Implement and enforce health and safety regulations on-site, ensuring compliance with industry standards
Oversea quality control procedures, ensuring compliance with project specifications and regulatory requirements
Identify and manage project risks, implementing appropriate mitigation measures
Conduct team meetings and 1-2-1 meetings including performance monitoring and review
Work closely with the office to maintain engineer training up to industry requirements
What you will need to succeed
Previous experience in a similar project management role, or previous experience as a site manager, demonstrating the ability to successfully deliver projects on time and within budget
Must have a commercial background
You will need to be a qualified /time served electrical engineer (minimum 5 years) and previous QS experience.
ECS card required for this role, knowledge, and experience of MCS and BAFE standards and procedures are desirable
Full, clean driving licence essential
Excellent organisational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines. Be of a tidy and smart appearance is essential
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with clients, contractors and team members
Sound understanding of health and safety and industry standards
Computer literate

This is a full-time position working Monday to Friday, working 35 hours per week generally 7:30am-3:30pm. On offer is a starting salary, depending upon experience of55,000
per annum
.
