Compass Associates are proud to be representing a leading private healthcare provider, in their search for a Director of Clinical Services to lead and develop their team in Canterbury. This private hospital provides outpatient care, diagnostics, imaging, physiotherapy and surgical procedures across 2 theatres.

They offer a variety of treatment, from orthopaedics, general surgery, gynaecology, urology and specialist procedures.

The Candidate

My client is seeking a clinical manager with strong integrity and resilience, commercial nous, leadership and operational experience. Reporting directly to the Hospital Director, you will take responsibility for operations and clinical management of the site. As Director of Clinical Services, you will be expected to provide strategic direction for the hospital and will be responsible for the quality, governance and CQC compliance, whilst overseeing the day to day management of the teams. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced healthcare manager to work for an established organisation.

This is a full-time position, although hours will usually fall between Monday- Friday, some flexibility is needed for the demands of the company. We are looking for an enthusiastic, experienced clinical manager with a passion for providing excellent standards of patient care. You must have excellent communication and written skills, with recent management experience in an acute healthcare setting.

Requirements

You will have a minimum 5 years\' experience at management level within a private/independent healthcare organisation. It will be essential that you have experience of managing quality within a service.

-Clinical background \xe2\x80\x93 Registered General Nurse
-Director of Clinical Services or equivalent
-Operational management experience
-Budget management experience
-Commercial acumen
-Experience preparing a service for CQC inspections
-Clinical governance, compliance, policies and procedures and quality within an acute healthcare setting.
-Infection prevention and control lead \xe2\x80\x93 desirable
-Commissioning of new services \xe2\x80\x93 desirable

Location

This role is based in Canterbury and is commutable from Margate, Ashford, Faversham, Sandwich, Aylesham, Whitstable, Folkestone and Maidstone.
