Connex Education Wales has just the job. We are looking for an experienced Maths Teacher who is looking for the step or a new challenge in their career.
We are working closely with a Pupil Referral Unit (PRU) based in Torfaen. The school offers education to students who may be on a short-term or long-term placement as they are not able to attend mainstream education during this time. The needs of the students will be challenging behaviour, social, emotional and mental health needs and might be other additional needs.
Your role;
- Teaching students who have challenging behaviour and SEMH needs
- Building strong and meaningful relationships with students
- Have a strong understanding of the Maths curriculum throughout the key stages
- To offer therapeutic teaching approaches to engage and motivate reluctant learners
- The ability to deliver sessions online as well as in person
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Experience teaching within a PRU or mainstream school supporting challenging behaviour
