We have an exciting opportunity for you to join our established senior team.Supporting the Labour Ward Coordinators on the night shifts to ensure safety across the unit.The post holder will be a clearly identifiable senior clinical member of the Midwifery team. They will have significant clinical experience, provide sound clinical expertise to ensure delivery of high quality, safe, and compassionate evidence based care. They will work closely with others to ensure that care delivery takes place in a suitable and safe environment to support the physical and psychological wellbeing of staff, women, birthing people and families.Main duties of the jobThe post holder will be a clearly identifiable senior clinical member of the Midwifery team on night shifts. • Registered midwife
• Evidence of post-registration education
• Teaching and assessing/mentorship qualification

• Substantial recent experience of working as a Registered Midwife
• Experience of working in a busy Intrapartum setting
• Experience of working across a variety of midwifery settings
• Research/audit/quality improvement experience

• Experience of managing and motivating a team and reviewing performance of the individuals.
• Evidence of delivering high quality teaching to staff groups

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Attention to detail
• Ability to work autonomously & independently
