Materials Testing Site Technician (All capabilities)

Location: Doncaster
Full Time, Permanent

25 Days Holiday + Bank Holidays

CTS provides a comprehensive range of on-site construction materials testing and finished product testing services throughout the UK.

Our highly-trained technicians either visit sites and take representative samples for subsequent laboratory testing, or conduct in-situ field tests.

Our fleet of site vehicles (mainly Toyota Hilux) are adapted and equipped to enable us to conduct a wide range of tests and inspections.

The Position

We are looking for all levels of Materials Testing Site Technicians from beginners to experienced personnel to join our team in Doncaster.

As a Construction Materials Testing Site Technician you will be outside away from stuffy offices and be responsible for carrying out sampling and testing on soils and aggregates to stringent BS EN, ISO, ASTM and Highway Works Compliance standards. You will also be required to give an accurate report based on the standards set. Full training is provided including shadowing an experienced technician.

You may be asked to stay away occasionally (hotel accommodation and meals paid for) or work night shifts for which we of course we pay overtime and stay away allowances for.

For beginners / trainees - this is a perfect opportunity to start a career in the construction industry.

Skills required

Right to work in UK - essential

Full UK Driving Licence - essential

CSCS Card - advantageous but not essential (we will arrange and pay for test and card)

Confident with numbers / maths

Accuracy and Consistency in record keeping

Confident working alone as well as part of a team

Confident dealing with clients

Good with early starts

40 hours per week, Monday - Friday

Salary

Competitive salary for experienced technicians

Starting salary for beginners/trainees \xc2\xa321,850

Paid overtime which can enhance salary by up to 25%

About Construction Testing Solutions

CTS and our range of independent UKAS accredited laboratories provide on-site testing and laboratory services to the construction, quarry products and civil engineering industries across the whole of the UK.

Our purpose-built laboratories are fully equipped to test the mechanical, physical and chemical properties of soils, aggregates, concrete and bituminous materials as well as other construction materials and products.
