This role covers the responsibilities of planning and requesting of raw materials and components which includes manual dexterity and the ability to deliver on time to meet manufacturing requirements.
KEY TASKS:
Liaise with the Warehouse Supervisor/Manager regarding the prompt supply efficiency of (Kitting up) & (De-Kitting) of material/components within the Warehouse & Production departments.
Ensure that all raw materials and finished goods are labelled, wrapped, and located away in the Warehouse using our internal I.T operating systems.
Driving Forklift Trucks and ensuring daily checks are done and documented.
Ensure all Inbound/Outbound Transport Logistics are checked, loaded, and unloaded in a correct, safe manner.
Adhere to the Warehouse/Production plans and inform Supervisor/Mangers of any unforeseen issues.
Deliver a strong understanding of the importance of segregation & Consolidation with the Warehouse & Production areas. E.g., Annual stock takes and cycle counting.
High level of enthusiasm, interpersonal and communication skills.
Work towards achieving a target of 100% accuracy.
Maintain good housekeeping in all Warehouse and Production areas. Remove all waste from area; general, plastic, packaging, cores into the designated bins.
Promote a safe/teamworking working environment within the Warehouse and Production areas.
To strictly adhere to the company Health & Safety policies at all times.
To take responsibility for own personal development, in line with agreed Performance and Development Reviews.
To perform such other duties within the area of your competence in accordance with the 'Terms & Conditions of Employment'.
REQUIREMENTS
Computer/IT -
Comply to internal and External IT operating systems
,
record keeping for all machines and processes they oversee, which requires proficiency in word processing and spreadsheet software.
Communication -
Verbal and listening skills to ensure efficient transfer of information between team members. Confident to address and troubleshoot problems (keeping in mind that these might be high-pressure situations and need to keep calm under pressure).
Documentation -
Written skills are important, maintain accurate and clear documentation that proves manufacturing is being carried out in accordance with both internal and external quality systems or regulations. It is important that procedures are followed, but it is also important that it can be shown and proved that procedures were followed.
Measurement -
Monitor and perform routine inspections for identifying when components will be required and acting to deliver and meet production demands. Monitoring the output of automated assembly line or station.
Reporting -
Provide relevant feedback to highlight any key issues to Department Supervisor, Production QA and/or Manufacturing Technician which could/will develop into delays or plan changes.
Attention to detail -
Follow strict internal protocols, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP). Know the manufacturing process in detail, troubleshooting at a trained level and informing senior members of the team to raise corrective actions.
Lean Manufacturing Skills -
Apply lean manufacturing principles to eliminate waste in the production process or apply six sigma to reduce output variation.
