London Martial Arts & Fitness Academy in Beckenham is one of South East London's leading hubs for martial arts, combat sports, and functional fitness. We provide high-energy, technique-focused classes in Muay Thai, Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, Boxing, and more -- all in a welcoming, ego-free environment. Our mission is to help people of all levels build strength, confidence, and real-world skills through martial arts.
We are currently expanding our coaching team and looking for passionate, experienced instructors to lead sessions in
Muay Thai, Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, and Boxing
.
Role Summary:
We're seeking a knowledgeable and inspiring coach who can deliver high-quality training across one or more of the following disciplines:
Muay Thai, BJJ, and Boxing
. Whether you're coaching beginners or advanced athletes, your role is to create a safe, motivating, and skill-focused environment that pushes students to grow.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead structured group classes and/or private sessions in Muay Thai, BJJ, and/or Boxing
Coach proper technique, conditioning, and fight strategy in a way that's accessible to all levels
Foster a positive training environment with discipline, respect, and encouragement
Support students in their martial arts journey - from beginners to competition prep
Help maintain a clean, safe, and professional training space
Collaborate with the coaching team on curriculum development and academy events
Represent the academy with professionalism inside and outside the gym
Requirements:
Proven experience coaching in one or more of the following: Muay Thai, Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, Boxing
For BJJ: minimum Black belt with competition or coaching experience (higher ranks preferred)
Strong communication and motivational skills
Ability to work evenings and/or weekends
First Aid certified and Enhanced DBS check (or willing to obtain)
Right to work in the UK
Preferred (but not essential):
Experience coaching kids or teens
Fight experience (amateur or pro)
Personal training or S&C qualifications
Knowledge of injury prevention and training adaptations
Safeguarding training
