Trainline is growing across the UK and Europe, and a high functioning MarTech muscle is essential to drive this, one of the businesses highest priorities. As the key between Marketing, Data Engineering, Data Science and Analytics, you\'ll be responsible for driving our marketing enablement and automation capabilities forwards to enable smarter business decisions in a space that is critical to Trainlines future growth.

As MarTech Operations Lead at Trainline, you will...\xf0\x9f\x9a\x84

  • Apply a blend of programming skills, analytical thinking, data analysis and digital marketing expertise to automate and scale our digital marketing activities.
  • Write scripts that use APIs from our marketing platforms to automate campaigns, build tools to scale activity more efficiently and automate campaign testing/experimentation.
  • Analyse and report on impact, efficiency and opportunities for optimisation within our digital marketing portfolio; using 1st, 2nd and 3rd party data where available.
  • Work embedded within our channel teams to support the smooth running of our digital marketing activity globally.
  • Work with Data Science to conceive, design, execute, report and take action on tests and experiments to further our understanding of how and why our channels drive customer behaviour.
  • Collaborate with SEO and Retention channels to build further capabilities to enable automation.
  • Manage projects between the Performance Marketing, MarTech and Engineering teams and be the main point of contact for all Performance Marketing asks.
  • Work with BI to ensure seamless integration between platforms and measurement/tracking frameworks.
  • Work with Data Science and BI teams to ensure the set up and measurement capabilities for attribution models; analyse and assess the pros and cons of different models.
  • Work with our creative studio on a programme of continuous automation for creative testing across all our digital platforms.
  • Scope to expand our execution options by building up new capabilities in existing channels, testing platform functionality and setting up entirely new platforms.
Qualifications

  • Have programming skills (Python / SQL)
  • Are commercially minded, analytical thinking
  • Have digital marketing domain expertise, especially between GMP, GTM and other advertising platforms ie Meta, TikTok, Snapchat etc.
  • Possess hands on experience setting up campaigns in ad platforms like Google Ads & Meta
