We are seeking a creative and driven Social Media Specialist to support Mayville's marketing and communications strategy across social media, website and other channels.
The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of social media management, with the ability to craft compelling content that resonates with our target audience.
Key accountabilities:
Work in line with Mayville's marketing strategy and brand guidelines, for the purpose of promoting the School, its vision, culture and values; creating positive awareness in the local community and with new audiences.
Monitor, moderate and provide feedback on all communication methods for the School, to ensure consistency of quality and message. Identify potential areas for improvement.
Liaise with staff, parents and other internal stakeholders, for the purpose of collating and reporting on school life and pupils' contributions to it, both in and out of school.
Employ a content management tool to plan and schedule the communication of this content across relevant channels, in line with the brand strategy and guidelines.
Utilise appropriate social media outputs to enhance communications and promotion of the School. Create engaging content, utilising text, images and video.
Demonstrate, through the work produced, an understanding of the importance of internal and external communications in the role of pupil recruitment and retention.
Collate and edit articles for fortnightly parent newsletters and the publication of our termly magazine.
Edit and update the content on the School website, as required.
Key skills:
Confident communicator with excellent standard of written English
Background in marketing / social media
Experience of working with brand / business pages on social media channels, using Meta Business Suite.
Familiar with DSLR / mirrorless camera systems, for the purpose of capturing both still imagery and video.
Ability to optimise still imagery and video for use on social media platforms.
The ability to work with Adobe Express (or, preferably, Adobe Creative Cloud) is desirable.
A knowledge of content-managed web platforms is desirable.
