The successful candidate will play an important role in strengthening Turn2us\'s marketing strategies, aligned with our mission and values, to educate, inspire action, and generate support. You will collaborate with key directorates and teams to design and implement impactful marketing campaigns, both online and offline.

Purpose of the role:
To play a considerable role in supporting Turn2us to raise awareness, drive brand engagement, increase our Services and Programmes reach and support communications and fundraising. The Marketing Officer collaborates with key directorates and teams to design and implement impactful marketing campaigns, both online and offline.
Key responsibilities and accountabilities:
1. To scope, plan and execute marketing activity and campaigns across multiple online and offline communication channels, including the website, social media, print and digital, to raise awareness of the charity, our work and what we stand for, and to raise funds to support our work.
2. To apply our brand guidelines consistently across all content, campaigns and channels, and support and enable colleagues to ensure successful rollout and adherence.
3. To support the project management and production of campaign workflow, and to work with the Campaigns and Communications Manager to identify effective campaign target audiences and achieve measurable impact in reaching them.
Role Responsibilities:
1. Marketing Strategy:
Develop and execute marketing plans in line with the charity\'s objectives and target audience.
Identify key marketing opportunities, trends, and innovative ways to maximise reach and impact.
Work across teams to identify market research to understand audience preferences and keep abreast of the latest marketing practices.
Support with planning and project management of campaigns and content calendars - using Microsoft Planner, Excel, Trello or other project management applications.
2. Brand Management:
Ensure consistent and compelling brand representation across all marketing materials and communications.
Develop and maintain the charity\'s brand guidelines, ensuring adherence across various channels.
Help maintain and promote our \'brand toolkit\' to colleagues internally, ensuring it is kept up to date with relevant brand, messaging and communication materials needed to support staff.
3. Digital Marketing:
Plan and implement social media campaigns to engage the audience, share updates, and promote events.
Utilise email marketing to communicate with service users, donors and supporters effectively.
4. Content Creation:
Produce engaging content for different marketing channels, including website, blog posts, social media, and newsletters, in line with team objectives.
Collaborate with media and PR to tell compelling stories about our impact and people who access our support.
Brief and coordinate work with external providers such as designers, photographers and printers to deliver marketing collateral to time and to budget.
Use a data and insight-driven approach to audience engagement.
5. Fundraising Support:
Work closely with the fundraising team to promote campaigns, appeals and donor communications.
Create associated marketing materials and initiatives that support donor acquisition and retention campaigns.
6. Event Promotion:
Develop marketing strategies to raise awareness and promote Turn2us events, both virtual and in-person.
Ensure consistent branding and messaging.
7. Analytics and Reporting:
Track and analyse the performance of marketing campaigns using relevant tools and metrics.
Prepare regular reporting against key KPI metrics, providing insights and recommendations for improvement.
8. Partnerships and Outreach:
Collaborate with external partners, media outlets, and influencers to amplify the charity\'s reach and impact.
Support the creation of assets to promote the work of Turn2us and our corporate / programme / coalition partners - e.g. video, social media content, web pages, posters, presentations, email and collateral.
Key requirements of the role:
This role is a critical part of a high performing, inter-disciplinary brand & communications team and the post-holder will need to demonstrate responsibility and initiative; and work collaboratively to support the team and wider charity.

Experience and Knowledge :
Essential:
Ability to identify priorities, needs and opportunities within the organisation, and deliver in a way that meets audience needs.
Experience of delivering marketing and communications strategies including creating key content for social media channels, email marketing, web and printed materials
Demonstrable ability to build strong working relationships across multiple teams.
Excellent written and oral communications skills, including proven ability to communicate using appropriate styles, methods and timing, to maximise understanding and impact.
Ability to work collaboratively to solve problems.
Proven copywriting and proofreading for a range of channels, including for reports and other printed materials.
Confidence to offer communications counsel and support to staff across the organisation and provide regular feedback to your line manager and colleagues on progress and blockers.
Demonstrable ability to curate content and create plans and schedules.
Commitment to playing your part in creating a positive working environment in which equality and diversity are upheld and everyone feels comfortable to speak freely and do their work well.
Strong time management skills, ability to work well under pressure and to help steer teams to work effectively to agreed deadlines.

Experience in marketing communications, including the creation of content and the drafting of external facing marketing materials.
Demonstrable experience of assisting in the delivery of successful communications and marketing campaigns.
Experience of reporting on and evaluating communications or marketing activity.
Experience using CRM systems & Mailchimp, or similar e-comms platforms.
Desirable:
Experience of video editing tools and/or platforms.
Previous experience publishing online content via CMS e.g. WordPress.
