Marketing Manager Leading UK Food Manufacturer South Wales Gwent Circa \xc2\xa350-55,000 depending on exp + Bonus + Benefits 25 Days holidays +Bank Holidays The company leads the market in innovation \xe2\x80\x93 which originates from their expertise in understanding the shopper and consumer. The Category Marketing Manager will combine creativity with strategy to help grow the business. You will be an experienced Marketing Manager who has ideally gained significant experience in the Food Manufacturing or similar industry. This is a newly created Product Marketing role This role has two main functions; category and marketing management and will suit someone who is both analytical and creative. You will be acutely aware that Category managers understand and change shopper behaviour. They research the shopper using quantitative and qualitative methods. Companies rely on Category Managers to creatively and strategically change shopper behaviour through creating new product ideas, advertising, and even developing nudges using behavioural economics. Marketing managers focus on the practical application of marketing orientation, techniques and methods within businesses and on the management activities and resources. Key Roles & Responsibilities: \xc2\xb7 Ability to work cross-functionally both internally & with our customers \xc2\xb7 Applying a systematic process to all your category management projects \xc2\xb7 Processing an extensive, diverse set of data into a coherent strategy and plan \xc2\xb7 Developing category tactics that are better aligned to deliver the category vision, strategies and objectives, including ranging, layout and promotions. \xc2\xb7 Building compelling category commercial proposals that better deliver retailers\xe2\x80\x99 needs. \xc2\xb7 Devising business questions, using data to create insights, activating decision trees, improving category strategies, aligning category tactics to strategies, category scorecards, forming compelling proposals, implementing and evaluating category plans \xc2\xb7 Creation of monthly retailer reports, newsletters and email flyers using external data sources including Kantar Worldpanel, Retail Link, Mintel, IGD and The Food People \xc2\xb7 Creation of internal marketing material for staff communications \xc2\xb7 Managing and analysing results of online market research panels \xc2\xb7 Maintaining and distributing retailer gap analysis reports \xc2\xb7 Contributing to brain storming sessions about future innovation \xc2\xb7 Creation and ownership of Christmas category autopsy report incl. presenting findings and recommendations to our retail partners. \xc2\xb7 Keeping abreast of latest food/ consumer trends \xc2\xb7 Attending trade exhibitions and conferences \xc2\xb7 Be self-motivated and driven with the desire and ability to make a real difference Travel to work from; Swansea, Cardiff, Newport, Bridgend Abergavenny Pontypool, Caerphilly, Merthyr, Bristol, Tredegar, Hereford Min 5 yrs + Marketing Management Experience Right to work in UK without sponsorship UK Driving Licence Food Industry Experience Desirable This job description is intended to provide a general overview of the position.
