We\'re an ambitious team of over 100 people in London (and New York) and not stopping there. We\'re growing and looking for a Marketing Director to take the lead on building our agency brand as well as we build our clients. We\xe2\x80\x99re one of those agencies that people say \xe2\x80\x9cI had no idea how great your work was\xe2\x80\x9d and \xe2\x80\x9cyou\xe2\x80\x99re the best kept secret in social\xe2\x80\x9d. We\xe2\x80\x99ve always taken that as a compliment. Until now. We\xe2\x80\x99re looking for a Marketing Director to lead our marketing strategy and team and change that. We will continue doing the most innovative and creative social marketing out there, but we want to start telling the stories behind the work. We\xe2\x80\x99ve only recently started on that journey and are already winning awards, making headlines and growing the business faster than ever. But we need a leader who is excited to come in and accelerate things. We\xe2\x80\x99ve got ambitious growth plans, including launching in New York fully in 2024, and going all-in on our marketing. You will work closely with our Head of New Business, and our Director team, our clients, and most importantly lead our brilliant Marketing Manager to define the strategy, budget, ideas and ambition.
\xef\xb8\x8f What you\'ll be doing:

    • Strategy: Working with the Head of New Business and the leadership team to define Born\xe2\x80\x99s brand proposition and marketing strategy for the coming years, and then the delivery of that.
    • Delivery: While spending enough time on the strategy, you\xe2\x80\x99ll be in your heart someone who wants to get sht done with your team around you. Unapologetically pushing our clients and people to grow the Born Social brand together.
    • People Leadership: Leading on the performance and development of our Marketing Manager and any other team members, ensuring they are thriving both as individuals and as a team. This will include hiring and growth of the team in the future.
    • Channel Leadership: we use a variety of channels that you\xe2\x80\x99d be responsible for driving the strategy and delivery for, including social (of course!), press, events, speaking engagements, thought leadership, awards and more. You\xe2\x80\x99d own the channel mix we use as the execution of marketing within it
    • Reporting & Feedback: Working with the Leadership team and Heads of Team to report on commercials and share feedback on our people, output and accounts.
    • Growing The Business: Ultimately all of this will be pointed towards winning new clients, retaining and growing existing clients and attracting the best industry talent to work with us.


Who we\'re looking for:
  • You\'ve got agency marketing experience - working in roles that have been responsible for the marketing of an agency, and crucially an understanding of our target audience and the competition.
  • You\'re passionate about social media - through working directly in the industry or through your own projects outside of work.
  • You\'re a Born leader - with the ability to inspire, motivate and grow the members of your direct team but also work brilliantly with the other teams at Born and our clients.
  • And a brilliant communicator - whether hosting events, working with media, pitching a case study for an award or editing our latest trends report you will be a great verbal and written communicator.
  • You\'ve got high standards - you take pride in your work, have an impeccable eye for detail and you\xe2\x80\x99re confident giving critical yet constructive feedback to set standards and develop those around you.
  • You\'re a Thinker and a Doer - truthfully this role needs both in equal measure. If that excites you, apply!
  • You\'re commercially aware - experience with budget management and the ability to make commercially-smart decisions.
