Position: Marketing Assistant

At Blackstar, we don't just build guitar amps--we amplify creativity. We're artists, musicians, and innovators shaping the future of sound, and we're looking for a dynamic Marketing Assistant to help tell our story to the world. From social strategy to artist relations, email campaigns to website content, your role will be at the centre of Blackstar's global marketing efforts. If you live and breathe music and thrive in a fast-paced, creative environment, we want you on our team.

The Role

As our Marketing Assistant, you'll work alongside the Senior Product Category Manager and the wider Marketing team to help grow Blackstar's global presence. You'll be hands-on with everything from social content to influencer engagement, email campaigns to website updates. Scout and connect with emerging artists and influencers through gigs, festivals, and online channels. Build strong relationships with musicians, managers, and industry reps to grow our artist roster. Organise and manage product demos, artist loan logistics, and content collection. Ensure smooth communication and ongoing support for our artist partners.

Social Media & Community Engagement

Create compelling, on-brand content for all major social channels. Engage with our online community, artists, and fans to foster genuine connection. Respond to DMs, comments, and tagged content to keep the conversation going. Track trends and platform updates to keep our strategy fresh.

Website & Content Management

Update and maintain site content using WordPress. Design user-friendly landing pages and optimise assets for performance. Conduct regular content reviews to keep everything on-brand and up to date.

Email Marketing & CRM

Build and schedule email campaigns using Mailchimp and CRM platforms. Design campaign assets and layouts that drive engagement. Monitor performance, gather insights, and help improve future sends. Support survey and data collection to improve audience targeting.

YouTube & Video Coordination

Schedule YouTube uploads with optimised metadata (titles, descriptions, tags). Monitor and respond to viewer interactions to boost engagement.

Training Portal Support

Help manage our Moodle-based training portal. Upload and update course content for dealers, partners, and end users. Coordinate with developers to keep the platform running smoothly.

Product Launch & Brand Support

Take meeting minutes and track action items for key product and campaign launches. Gain deep product knowledge to effectively support brand messaging. Support the wider marketing team with day-to-day admin and campaign execution.

Who You Are

A passionate marketer with a love for music, creativity, and organisation. You thrive in a fast-moving environment, juggle multiple projects, and enjoy working as part of a collaborative team. You're social media-savvy, have an eye for content, and know how to speak to a music-loving audience.

Skills & Experience

Essential:

Degree in Marketing or equivalent experience. 2+ years in a marketing or communications role. Strong writing, editing, and communication skills.
