Job description
Key responsibilities include:
Systems:
Support the teams' priorities and resourcing to ensure the effective delivery of the financial and people systems, data and technology.
Create training courses to upskill users on processes and systems.
Develop and update systems guidance.
Support, maintain and improve the central Enterprise Resource Planning Systems, including Finance, Supply Chain, HR, Payroll, EPM and FDIP.
Data Management:
Use insights from stakeholder engagement and data to effectively manage and improve the performance of systems.
Intelligent Customer Function:
Provide expert advice regarding systems and technology to stakeholders within the organisation and across government.
Enable and manage change that allows more flexibility, responsiveness and improved service delivery and user experience.
Role specific:
Support, maintain, configure, and improve our Oracle Cloud Infrastructure.
Lead Oracle Cloud maintenance related to activities.
Lead Oracle Cloud user, role, data and infrastructure security related activities.
Create and maintain documentation to ensure auditable, user security processes, procedures, and approval frameworks.
The specific content of the role will be flexible, and the individual will be expected to work across/within different modules and across different layers of the solution and architecture as needed.

Person specification
Essential Criteria:
Experience in Financial and/or Supply Chain and/or Human Resources and/or managing cloud infrastructure expertise.
Significant experience of delivering systems support within an ITIL aligned organisation.
Significant experience in managing Oracle Cloud or similar cloud environments.
Demonstrable knowledge of managing change through the product delivery life cycle
Demonstrable ability to engage and communicate technical concepts and complex issues with key stakeholders at an operational and strategic level.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
One or more of the following: Cyber Security ,Computing or IT qualification
One or more of the following: SCM, HCM, EPM, ERP or OCI Foundation associate
Desirable role criteria:

Location
This role is being offered as hybrid working based at any of our Core HQ's. We offer great flexible working opportunities at UKHSA and operate using a hybrid working model where business needs allow. This provides us with greater flexibility about how and where we work, to get the best from our workforce. As a hybrid worker, you will be expected to spend a minimum of 60% of your contractual working hours (approximately 3 days a week pro rata, (averaged over a month) working at one of UKHSA's core HQ's (Birmingham, Leeds, Liverpool, and London) Our core HQ offices are modern and newly refurbished with excellent city centre transport link and benefit from benefit from co-location with other government departments such as the Department for Health and Social Care (DHSC).
Security Clearance Level Requirement
Successful candidates must pass a disclosure and barring security check.
For meaningful National Security Vetting checks to be carried out individuals need to have lived in the UK for a sufficient period of time. You should normally have been resident in the United Kingdom for the last 5 years as the role requires Security Check (SC) clearance. UK residency less than the outlined periods may not necessarily bar you from gaining national security vetting and applicants should contact the Vacancy Holder / Recruiting Manager listed in the advert for further advice.
